Budding Artists?

We have been finding all sorts of un-done projects in our craft supplies during these last few cold, windy days. The kids always want to paint and I have put them off for quite a while. It is usually a pretty messy project. The boys are at an age where they have a good concept of mixing colors and the effects that has on the finished product.Notice the three separate puddles of paint. But when little Lady paints . . .This still colorful, bright, sparkly, purple, pink, yellow cat. . . .quickly turns into this.

And dries in a nice drab shade of brown.
